Sculpting:

Digital sculpting with Autodesk Mudbox.
Making of a statue based on the sections and reference photo.

The statue in question, (“San Francesco veste un povero”) was inside a church in Palermo (Oratorio di San Lorenzo, Sicily) but has been "stolen".

These are the findings of a National Research Project (PRIN 2010-2011) named "Architectural perspective". The research unit of Palermo and Salerno are experimenting with methods that combine hardware and software to process and display three-dimensional models of important examples of architecture and sculpture scenic of sculptor "Giacomo Serpotta".

For reproduction, I used some photo references, and an old survey with sections of the statue.

The purpose of this project is to create an app that allows the vision of the church, using the techniques of augmented reality, to make visited these beautiful works of "Serpotta"

Realization of a Futuristic Soldier.

Using in combo Autodesk Mudbox and Autodesk 3dsMax

(for a "top secret" project failed).

This work is the result of my passion for videogames.


​​"The SLIG", inspired by the famous characters in the saga of "Oddworld"
I started with a smooth mesh, made in 3dsmax (visible in a screenshot), and then finish with a mesh detailed full of wrinkles and scratches, with Mudbox.
This is a combination of an organic model (upper part), and a sci-fi model (lower part).

Software used: ​​3dsMax / Mudbox / Photoshop.
